Curriculum Vitae
Enrico Napolitani is Associate Professor in Matter Physics at the University of Padova.
He got a Master Degree in Physics in 1996 (Padova University) and a PHD in Material Science in 2000 (Catania University). From 2000 to 2014 he has been Research Scientist at MATIS IMM-CNR (Padova, Italy), where he is currently associated member.
His research focuses on the physics and technology of semiconductors for nano- and opto-electronics, with emphasis on equilibrium/non-equilibrium doping processes of Si and Ge for nano-electronics, and advanced chemical and structural characterization of solids. He holds about 190 publications (H-index 26) in peer-reviewed journals, 3 books, and 1 international patent. He recently published the chapter “Ion Implantation Defects and Shallow Junctions in Si and Ge” in the book “Defects in Semiconductors” Ed. L. Romano, V. Privitera, C. Jagadish (Academic Press, 2015). He is referee of several international journals and member of the Editorial Board of the journal 'Material Science in Semiconductor Processing' (Elsevier).
He organized the Symposia U and Z at the E-MRS Spring Meeting (France) in 2006 and 2015 respectively, and the International Conference on Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry SIMS XVIII (2011, Italy), being also leading Guest Editor of the respective proceedings books. He has been member of the International Scientific Committee of the SIMS XIX conference (2013, Korea), and Program Committee member of the IEEE-NMDC 2014 conference (Italy).
He is member of the teaching board of the PhD School in Material Science and Engineering and of the Master Degree in Material Science of the University of Padova, where he holds courses on General Physics and on Physics and Technology of Semiconductors, and he tutored several Master and PhD degree thesis.
